CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -
Chapel Hill residents could be sitting at a red light a little while longer.
A new pedestrian crossing system is being installed at Columbia Street and Cameron Avenue, one of the busiest intersections in Chapel Hill.
The lights will be coordinated to stop traffic in all directions so walkers have enough time to cross the street.
If the new system works, it may be installed in other parts of Chapel Hill.
