CARRBORO, N.C. -
The town of Carrboro is looking for residents' input on a new greenway trail.
The trail will be about 1.5 miles and begin at Smith Level Road heading west along Morgan Creek to University Lake.
Officials are looking for suggestions about where connections along the trail should be made. They're also trying to learn more about how often people bike or walk to get around.
"(We want to know) where would they like to get access to in town, would they like to get access to schools, get up to University Lake or other locatiosn in the area," said Randy Dodd, Carrboro's Environmental Planner.
Construction on the trail should begin sometime in 2010. The next public input meeting will be in October.
