A Chapel Hill man is facing drug charges after Chatham County authorities could smell burnt marijuana during a routine traffic stop on US 15-501.
Authorities originally stopped Julandus Answan Foushee, 21, for a traffic violation Tuesday afternoon. As the officers approached Foushee’s car, they could smell the odor of burnt marijuana.
When officers asked Foushee about the drugs he turned them over.
Foushee is charged with felonious possession of marijuana, felonious maintaining a vehicle for controlled substances and possession of drug paraphernalia.
