HILLSBOROUGH, N.C. -
Authorities in Orange County are trying to figure out who shot and killed a cow.
On July 18, deputies were called to Cedar Grove Farms located at 3900 Efland Cedar Grove Road, in Hillsborough.
The owner of the farm told authorities that a Holstein dairy cow has been shot and killed.
Upon further investigation by a veterinarian, it was determined that the bullet was from a .270 Rifle.
There was also another cow shot and killed about a year ago at the same location.
No arrests have been made.
Anyone with information about this crime should contact investigator Greg Strowd at the Orange County Sheriff's Office.
