The Hillsborough Kiwanis Club recently received the prestigious Helping Hand Award from the Hillsborough Orange County Chamber of Commerce for 2008. The Kiwanis Club is an active civic club which internationally serves the children of the world, one child at a time.
During 2008, Hillsborough Kiwanis established Terrific Kids Programs in ALL northern Orange County Elementary schools! MANY children are honored monthly for being
Respective citizens in the classroom and other areas of their elementary schools.
Kiwanis supports many organizations through donating to non-profits who serve the children of Northern Orange County.
Kiwanis is a non-profit and meets weekly. In Hillsborough, we can be found at 12:00 noon on Tuesdays at the Occoneechee Restaurant on Churton street. We always welcome visitors and prospective members!
Kiwanis has two events per year for fund raising – an annual Blueberry Bush Sale, and an annual BBQ - stay tuned for more info on these events!
