CARRBORO, N.C. -

From now until July 25, Glasshalfull is conducting a food drive to help the Inter-Faith Council feed the hungry in our community. Lunch or dinner patrons of the restaurant who make a food donation can enter a weekly drawing to win a twenty-five dollar gift certificate for the wine shop and restaurant.

The IFC Food Pantry requests essential, nonperishable items such as canned meat and fish, canned fruits and vegetables, pasta and pasta sauce, soup, beans, rice, peanut butter, cereal, grits and oatmeal.

The staff and volunteers of the IFC thank our neighbors at Glasshalfull for remembering that the current economic downturn has been particularly paralyzing for those who have recently lost their jobs and for those work too hard for too little and ultimately must depend on Inter-Faith Council programs. You may check at their website at http://glasshalfullcarrboro.com/index.php.
