A Durham workshop will help gardeners learn how to manage their yards and gardens and become more environmentally accountable.
The North Carolina Cooperative Extension, Durham County Center, and City of Durham Storm Water Services are hosting the Sustainable Landscape Series.
It will be February 13, 20, and 27th from 10:00 in the morning until noon.
The Soil Management class, taught on Friday, February 13, will cover information on soil testing and understanding fertilizers. The class on the 20th will be about Smart Watering and will cover irrigation, water conservation, and more.
The Sustainable Management class on Friday, February 27, will cover information about plant selection, integrated pest management, pruning and mulching.
The cost of the three-part series is $25.
