Wake To Honor Officers Who Sacrificed

RALEIGH, N.C. -

Wake County police officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty will be honored at the first annual Wake County Law Enforcement Officers Memorial, which will be held in front of the Progress Energy Performing Arts Center, May 12 at 1 p.m. 

The public ceremony will honor the 19 fallen officers from the North Carolina Highway Patrol, Raleigh Police Department, Wake Forest Police Department and the Wake County Sheriff’s Office.  

This event will take place during National Law Enforcement Memorial Week, May 10-16, which observes the service and sacrifice of all American law enforcement officers.
