WAKE COUNTY, N.C.

Last year, The Mariposa School raised $100,000 to earn a matching grant of $50,000 from Doris Buffett and The Sunshine Lady Foundation. The funds are being used to expand and enhance programming. We are buzzing with excitement as we announce our first Summer Social Butterflies Program. Children from the age of 3 to 16 with disabilities will be participating along side their non-disabled peers in a variety of fun, yet productive social activities. The program is designed to establish and enhance social skills in our children with disabilities and create an environment for our non-disabled peers to build positive character traits. The summer is divided into three 2-week sessions running from 9 to 12 or 1 to 4.

Slots are still available for students with disabilities and their non-disabled peers. Additional information is available online at www.MariposaSchool.org or by contacting Cassy Gayman at 919-461-0600 or by email at cgayman@mariposaschool.org.
