The Aveda Institute Chapel Hill offers the Brilliant Future Scholarship as an opportunity for High School Seniors to be awarded a $500 cosmetology or esthiology scholarship to attend the Aveda Institute Chapel Hill.
Applicants submitted a scholarship application, letter of recommendation and a 200 word essay expressing why they wish to enter the cosmetology/skin care/beauty industry. They also submitted two before and after style photographs exhibiting their creative talent.
Eligibility for the 2009 Brilliant Future Scholarship required the applicant to be a high school senior graduating in the Class of 2009. Scholarship recipients are enroll ing in the Aveda Institute Chapel Hill and will start in June or July of 2009.
Patrick Thompson, President of the Aveda Institute Chapel Hill, said, "The scholarship contest provides individuals with an opportunity to showcase their talents and passion for their future. This contest is the first step towards building a career in an industry of tremendous opportunity and growth."
