The citizens of NC and the school board members regardless of race, need to do whatever is necessary to provide all our kids with an opportunity to experience a quality education, second to none in the nation or world. This is our responsibility and in the process if some toes are stepped on, so be it. Do your jobs and stop worrying about political correctness, these are our children for whom we hold the keys to their futures. Compare the quality of education today in NC to the standards set for my generation in the early 60's. Something has gone wrong. It is a fixable problem but bantering about on thin ice fearful of upsetting someone or a group is not going to accomplish anything. Stop, think, consider all alternatives and act.
