Visitors can enjoy wine tastings and complimentary refreshments at many of the downtown businesses. The Sunflower Studio on East Jones Avenue will host live music. On South White Street, the Graffiti Monkeys will perform at GC5 Vintage and Gifts. The Wake Forest Coffee Company will also have live music beginning at 8 p.m.
"Art After Hours is a perfect opportunity for people to come to Downtown Wake Forest and experience some of the fantastic art our area has to offer," says Maggie O'Neill, Wake Forest DRC Executive Director.
Galleries hosting artist receptions include: The Cotton Company (Ginger Meek Allen, metalsmith; Dick Larsen, painter; and Yuhuei Pierce, painter), Sunflower Studio (Bill Wallace, wood designer; Janet Wallace, basket weaver; Lisa McCamy, painter). Also, Sprig (Cheryl Wills, jewelry designer), GC5 Vintage and Gifts (Gerry Fernandez, photographer) and Wake Forest Art & Frame (Jamie Miller, photographer; Steve Karloski, sculptural artist).
