February 4, 2010 (RALEIGH, NC) -- Are the Triangle’s best days already passed? In the February issue of Raleigh Metro Magazine, senior writer Rick Smith talks with regional leaders and comes back with a positive but mixed message from bankers, developers, tech entrepreneurs, government officials and economists.
According to Rick Weddle, chief executive of Research Triangle Park, “Perhaps the greatest threat we face is not being visionary or agile enough to anticipate what’s next and position ourselves correctly”.
Also in the February issue: an update on offshore energy options on the NC coast by Jim Leutze former chancellor of UNC-Wilmington who serves on several coastal commissions and committees.
In the February issue: the hospital building boom from the Triangle to the coast; the uptown attitude in downtown Carrboro by Diane Lea; a reminder to eat your veggies at area restaurants by Moreton Neal; the latest in wine by Barbara Ensrud; NC State’s idea to re-build the torn-down Catalano House by Mike Welton; and the announcement by Metro editor and publisher Bernie Reeves to run for the US Congress against Brad Miller.
